A fond farewell to Martin Gott
After a long and successful career in corporate finance, the last 9 years of which were spent as Head of Corporate & Commercial Finance at Broadhead Peel Rhodes (BPR), Martin Gott decided that he would rather be sharing himself with his beloved wife, children and grandchildren, whilst finding time for the odd exotic holiday of course, than slaving over a hot desk and he retired at the end of February 2008.
BPR would like to take this opportunity to thank Martin for his dedication and hard work during his time with the firm and wish him a long, happy and trouble-free retirement.
As part of its goal to be the strongest independent firm in Yorkshire, Chartered Accountants BPR have taken further steps to widen the range of services they offer to business clients, with the appointments of John Halstead and Terry Carroll. Both join with wide-ranging business, commercial and financial experience.
John is a Chartered Accountant and a highly experienced FD in several sectors and companies such as Appleyard Group plc. More recently he has been providing dedicated full-range Finance Director services to owner-managed businesses and companies. He now heads this function for BPR, adding to its fast-growing and successful Financial and Management Accounting and Payroll services.
Terry has been FD and MD/CEO in a range of businesses, including 25 years in financial services. He has returned to Yorkshire to head up Corporate Finance and Advisory services for BPR, providing support for most business or financial challenges for both new and existing clients. A qualified accountant, banker and stockbroker, he has experience of many different corporate finance projects, from start-ups, financing, business turnaround and restructure, mergers and acquisitions, MBO/MBI, venture and private capital to AIM flotation.
