BPR 7 hit £800!
Seven BPR staff members, accompanied by one dog, decided to brave the elements and take part in a charity challenge in the picturesque setting of the Yorkshire Dales.
A walk up Mount Pen-Y-Ghent on the 10th April 2010, one of the Yorkshire Three Peaks, was organised by the British Red Cross in aid of current projects including Haiti Relief as well as support for those suffering from flood damage in Cumbria.
Some members of the team are experienced walkers while others are complete novices. It therefore proved a big team effort to complete the walk inside a respectable 3 hours.
The team went prepared for the worst, with woolly hats, scarves and gloves all securely in place, only to find the elements had been kind with sunshine glaring down on them for the entire walk.
Leaving most of their winter-warming possessions in the car and having to borrow sun cream they set off with the sun on their back. The team were able to take some breathtaking pictures as they got further towards the summit.
BPR would like to thank everyone involved, from the British Red Cross organisers to all those who kindly donated, helping BPR raise a grand total of £800 for the cause.
Those who took part are already looking at organising their next challenge.
